Our holiday home park is perfectly located in Mid Wales for every type of holiday. Gwynedd has a generous choice of both coastal and countryside experiences nearby; and it is the perfect base to explore the many things to do in the neighbouring coastal towns of Tywyn and Aberdovey.
Golfing
Positioned directly on the coast, when you play a round of golf on Aberdovey golf course you are surrounded by breath taking views. This enchanting setting is a championship golf club and listed in the Golf World Top 100 in UK and Ireland. There are also plenty of golf courses near Aberystwyth to choose from, including Capel Bagnor, Borth, Aberystwyth and Llanrhydstud.
Railway
You don’t have to be a railway enthusiast to enjoy the Talyllyn Railway. Running since 1865 and known as ‘The Railway with a Heart of Gold’, it is the world’s first preserved railway. The journey is 7 miles long from Tywyn through the ancient woodlands of Fathew Valley, coming to its final destination at the fairy tale-like woodland, Nant Gwernol railway station. Taking 55 minutes in total, you will experience the beauty of the Welsh countryside and wildlife in no better way.
At the Tywyn station you will also find the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, Railway Shop and the King’s Café where you can stop for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake, or choose from a selection of real ales and wines. This narrow gauge steam railway is a perfect activity for the whole family.
Visit Corris Caverns
Come and discover Wales underground and Wales above ground; there’s something for everyone come rain or shine. Corris Caverns is a great place for individuals, families, schools or groups to visit; With underground attractions, an above ground storytelling maze, unique craft studios, multi award-winning Gin Distillery and a welcoming café. Outdoor Activities
Kite surfing is a popular sport in Wales, but people travel specifically to go kite surfing in Tywyn and Aberdovey. The beautiful views of West Wales are best admired from the sky, you will be in awe of the golden sandy beaches and Dyfi estuary winged by North Wales’ emerald mountains.
Wales is also an excellent location for keen cyclists, novices and family cycle routes. Just a 30-minute drive away from the park, Dyfi Valley is a stunning landscape and perfect area for cycling. The area is well known for its cycling routes of varying lengths and difficulty, meaning there is a way for everyone to enjoy the beauty of the Dyfi scenery. The Mawddach Trail is a traffic-free route, meaning it is ideal for families with children, and winds around the beautiful Mawddach estuary.
