Walking Trails in Wales | Gwynedd Holiday Park

Gwynedd Holiday Home Park’s local area boasts some of the best walking trails in Wales. One of the most spectacular trails in Wales, the Aberdyfi circular walk is the perfect way to see a multitude of Wales’ best sites and attractions. Aberdovey, or Aberdyfi in Welsh, is located on the estuary of the Dyfi river and is just five miles from Gwynedd.

The Aberdyfi circular walk starts on the beach front and meanders inland into a scenic trail where you will see emerald green countryside views and a medieval castle, and then loops back into the Dyfi estuary on Aberdovey beach. This 4-mile walking trail is jam-packed with some of the best of Mid Wales.

Another 4-mile walk in the area is Aberdyfi Panorama. This trail takes you above Aberdovey and provides expansive and breath-taking views of the whole area. Despite its height and wonderous views, you don’t have to exhaust yourself to enjoy it, the trail is described as a gentle walk for all abilities.

Wales Coastal Path | Gwynedd Holiday Park

Wales Coastal Path

The Wales Coastal Path runs straight though Tywyn. 630 miles in length, it is the world’s first coastal path to cover an entire country and begins in Chepstow and ends in Flintshire. The stretch between Tywyn and Aberdovey is 4 miles long and you will see some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. At low tide you will be able to walk nearly the whole route on the golden sandy beach and soak up the beauty of Cardigan Bay.

Aberdovey Town

When you own a holiday home in Mid Wales you benefit from an abundance of countryside walking trails to choose from as well as coastal walks. Dolgoch Falls is made up of three waterfalls and is a treasured beauty, locals and visitors agree that it is beautiful at all times of the year. The waterfalls are nestled in the beautiful Tal-y-Llyn Valley and can be accessed by the Talyllyn railway steam train which runs directly above the falls. An easy walk, the entire route takes just under an hour including time to rest, envelope yourself in the fall’s beauty and take stunning photos.
